Our leadership team

I am Mrs Fletcher and I am the current Head of Upper Key Stage 2. As well as this, I have the pleasure of leading ‘Writing’ and overseeing the English curriculum team at Lapage Primary School. I qualified as a teacher in 2011 after completing a PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Leeds, and since then, I have been teaching at Lapage.

My undergraduate degree from Lancaster University was in English Language and Linguistics – so you could say I have always had a passion for writing, language and grammar! I have many interests… I am an enthusiastic baker and I love to go to shows and concerts.

Any class that I have taught will also tell you that I have a (not so) small obsession with my cats! One of my favourite things to share in class is picture books. I am a huge lover of picture books because they are just so, so magical; a feast for the eyes, the ears and the heart.
